Divinity wanted to give the guild raid leader more support in organizing and running raid activities for the guild. It was decided that those people who are selected to support the raid leader in this position would be given a guild rank to designate them as direct assistants to the high defender.
This is very similar to those who assist the recruitmaster as new member patrons. For this reason, and due to the limit on ranks within the game, the same rank of Protector was decided upon to be used for these raid leader assistants.
The result is that the definition of the Protector rank has been altered, as well as the descriptions of the Eternal General and Celestial Hand. The original text and new text can be found below. The guild charter posted in this forum has been altered to reflect the changes.
